Nature of the Masterclass
This Masterclass is a psycho-educational experience, blending education with personal processing and growth in a virtual group setting. It is designed to help participants identify and cope with anxiety. The Masterclass is not a substitute for psychotherapy or other clinical services. Benefits of participation include learning perspectives and skills to achieve greater self-awareness, connection with others, resilience, and spiritual growth. Risks of participation may include experiencing uncomfortable thoughts and feelings associated with anxiety, or other forms of emotional distress. You understand that you are free to not participate in any Masterclass activities, and you agree not to push yourself beyond your limits. You agree to take breaks as needed, and not to exert yourself to meet the perceived expectations of yourself or others.
Limitations
This Masterclass does not include provision of any professional mental health services, including but not limited to diagnosis, psychological assessment, therapeutic counseling, or any form of clinical intervention or medical treatment. The program is for educational purposes only and not clinical services. The Masterclass expressly excludes the following and any other professional services: Diagnosis or Medical Treatment, Crisis Management or Emergency Response,Therapeutic Counseling or Psychotherapy, Medical Record Keeping or HIPAA Compliance, Insurance or Healthcare Billing, No Physical Health or Medical Services, Court-Mandated Services.
Confidentiality and Privacy
The Thriving with Anxiety Masterclass is designed to foster a safe and supportive environment. However, it is important to understand the limitations and expectations of confidentiality and privacy within this psycho-educational setting.
- Live Sessions: Live sessions are conducted in a group video format and may be recorded for later viewing or used for educational and marketing purposes. While participants are encouraged to respect each other’s privacy, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. If uncomfortable, you may remain off-camera or refrain from verbal sharing.
- Online Community: Posts and comments in the online community are visible to all participants. While privacy is encouraged, it cannot be guaranteed. You are advised to practice discretion when sharing personal experiences both in the community and during live sessions.
- Boundaries: Sharing personal information is voluntary and should be done only if you wish. Please prioritize your own wellbeing when deciding what to share during the workshop. You may choose to exchange personal contact information with other attendees on a voluntary basis but all interactions and exchanges outside the Masterclass are your responsibility, and the facilitator assumes no liability for them.
- Limitations on Confidentiality/Privacy: You agree not to share personal information about other attendees outside the workshop. While participants are encouraged to respect confidentiality, absolute confidentiality cannot be guaranteed. Security breaches and technological failures in electronic communications (e.g., email, text, video conferencing) are possible. Once information is shared electronically or with others, its privacy is beyond the facilitator's control.
- Standards of Confidentiality: The facilitator will take reasonable steps to safeguard sensitive information, but this workshop is not a professional healthcare service. Privacy standards may not match those in a therapeutic setting (e.g., HIPAA does not apply). As a licensed psychologist, the facilitator is a mandated reporter and is legally required to report abuse, neglect, or significant safety threats to the appropriate authorities.
Inappropriate Behavior
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. Participants are expected to engage in the Masterclass in a manner that is respectful, supportive, and aligned with its purpose. Examples of inappropriate behavior include but are not limited to:
- Disruptive or aggressive behavior during live sessions or in the online community.
- Sharing offensive, discriminatory, harmful, or sexually inappropriate comments or content.
- Harassment, bullying, or targeting other participants.
- Violating the privacy of other attendees by sharing their personal information or experiences outside the Masterclass.
If you engage in inappropriate behavior, your access to Masterclass materials may be terminated immediately without a refund.
Termination and Refunds
No refund or credit will be provided for missed group sessions, non-attendance, or failure to use the video content within the access period. Recordings of live group coaching sessions will be made available for participants to view at their convenience, when possible. If the facilitator cancels a scheduled session for any reason, it will be rescheduled. If a participant breaches this agreement or engages in inappropriate behavior, the facilitator may terminate their participation immediately. In such cases, access to all Masterclass materials and services will be revoked, and any remaining sessions forfeited without refund.
Dispute Resolution
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Massachusetts. Before initiating arbitration, both parties agree to make a good faith effort to resolve any disputes informally via email or scheduled meeting. Disputes, claims, or controversies arising from this Agreement that cannot be addressed informally will be resolved through binding arbitration in Massachusetts under the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). The arbitrator’s decision shall be final and binding. Each party shall bear its own costs unless required otherwise by law. If arbitration fails to resolve the issue, parties may seek further legal remedies per the governing law.

By joining this group, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the entirety of this document. The following brief summary highlights key points for your convenience and does not replace or override the full terms outlined above:
- This is a psycho-educational experience and not a form of therapy or clinical service.
- There is potential for both benefits and risks associated with participation.
- You will practice self-care, adhere to appropriate boundaries, and participate only at a level that feels comfortable.
- You understand and accept the limitations of confidentiality and privacy in a group or online setting.
- You understand the policies regarding missed and rescheduled sessions, termination, and refunds, governing law, and dispute resolution terms outlined.
